Animal Care Unit Project

The Enoch Lanka Animal Care Unit (ACU) is a dedicated initiative established under Enoch Lanka, committed to fostering compassion, kindness, and responsible care for all living beings across Sri Lanka.

Over the past few years, Enoch Lanka ACU has successfully implemented a variety of impactful community-driven projects aimed at improving animal welfare. Building on this strong foundation, the Animal Care Unit was formed to extend focused support to stray and vulnerable animals, particularly dogs and cats, as well as to assist pet owners from low-income communities who face challenges in accessing essential veterinary care.

Aligned with our mission, ACU provides a wide range of vital services designed to improve the health, safety, and well-being of animals in need. Our initiatives include:

• Feeding programs for stray cats and dogs
• Sterilization programs to help manage stray populations humanely
• Vaccination drives to prevent the spread of diseases
• Worm treatments and parasite control, including treatment for ticks, fleas, and mange
• Wound care and medical assistance for injured or neglected animals
• Support for low-income pet owners by providing essential veterinary treatments and supplies

Through these efforts, the ACU strives to reduce animal suffering, control overpopulation, and promote healthier coexistence between animals and communities.
